Sipping Spiders

Ethan gets all jazzed up these days about going to the library. We visit the local library on the weekends and Friday is library day at school. The books he comes home with pretty much revolve around three themes - Batman, Star Wars or monsters. Its a good thing there is a bunch about all three.

One of my favorite books to read at night time is really more of a singing book (surprise, surprise.) Meemaw gave it to him on his last birthday. It is called Sipping Spiders Through a Straw - Campfire Songs for Monsters. Ethan's favorite is Take Me Out to the Graveyard and mine is Blow Blow Blow Your Nose (sung to the tune of row, row, row your boat.) Here are the lyrics:
Blow, blow, blow your nose
sick and stuffy ghost.
Pick it, and poke it, and pull it out
and spread it on your toast.

Josh's favorite is 99 Bottles of Blood on the Wall because he gets to make a loud belching sound in the middle of it: 99 bottles of blood on the wall. 99 bottles of blood. Take a big slurp, and let out a burp. . . 98 bottles of blood on the wall.

I know, I know - completely gross. But the kids absolutely love it.
